The session resumes mid-combat within the cave, with Agron and Cowlick arriving late and disoriented. A chaotic fight against numerous kobolds, including winged ones, ensues. Poppy, Agron, and Wog utilize their abilities, but the battle is fraught with mishaps, including friendly fire. After defeating the kobolds, the party is alerted to a guard outside, triggering another round of combat. Poppy is knocked unconscious during this fight. Following the battle, the party finds some loot and reiterates their mission to find dragon eggs.
Realizing a short rest is unsafe, they decide to explore the guard barracks, which has an eastern exit. Inside, they find a furnished room with a chute hole. They then encounter the woman who led the attack on Greenest, surrounded by “spirit guardians,” leading to another potential combat encounter.
