We managed to locate his place, a relatively well-kept apartment in the North District1 .
Upon entering, we noticed the place was surprisingly tidy, almost suspiciously so, but we did spot a set of muddy boot prints near the front door2 . And not just any mud, oh no, our resident experts identified it as manure2 . This immediately raised some eyebrows about where our architect might have been.
We hit a bit of a snag when Chaos's microphone decided to take an unscheduled break, leaving him in the silent realm2 …. After a brief intermission, we even had a quick relaunch of the game to switch back to a more readable font3 . Technical difficulties, you know how it goes!
Moving on with our investigation, it seems we stumbled into what used to be a rather grand Menagerie or zoo4 . Unfortunately, recent events haven't been kind, and the place is now looking rather dilapidated, with abandoned wagons and an overgrown fountain4 . We did run into a caretaker, a rather shaken fellow, who confirmed that things have gone sideways, with “hellhound looking creatures” causing all sorts of trouble5 . He also gave us a rundown of some of the former residents, including Griffins, a giant scorpion, Triceratops, and a whole lot of crocodiles5 . We even found the gift shop, though I doubt anyone was in the mood for a stuffed owl bear4 .
Considering our injuries and the generally unsafe atmosphere, a debate ensued about taking a rest. While there was a perfectly good bar nearby, Bergrom decided to whip out some arcane magic and conjured up Leomund's Tiny Hut6 . So, we all piled into the cozy, ten-foot radius dome for a much-needed long rest6 . Anton, being a bit on the larger side, apparently had a rather humorous time fitting in6 .
As the session wrapped up, we even had a little chat about some potential changes to game mechanics, specifically around death saving throws in a new game system in development6 …. Apparently, the idea involves bleeding out but still being able to take actions while making those crucial saves6 . Interesting stuff to ponder!
