Crown of the Oathbreaker Session 3

The third session of the Crown of the Oathbreaker began with the players logging into Fantasy Grounds, where the Game Master reminded them of necessary module loading and shop limitations. With a free day before the King's Games, the party members pursued their individual interests. Strange Claw, seeking to confront a bugbear, disguised himself and ventured into the Silver Kiss Brothel, eventually locating Gulfa and his henchmen in a mini-pool area. Meanwhile, Anton, Nora, Samara, and Phantom gathered at the Full Halfling tavern for breakfast, discussing their plans, with Anton expressing curiosity about the brothel. Quick also intended to join them. Upon the arrival of Anton and Nora at the Silver Kiss Brothel, where they explored the “Oriental Garden,” Nora confronted Gulfa, accusing him of theft, which quickly escalated into a chaotic combat encounter. Spells and transformations filled the brothel, resulting in significant damage and drawing the attention of the Red Cloaks. The lawgivers intervened, ordering everyone to disarm and taking the party, except for Anton, into custody. During interrogation, Nora's rambling confounded the lawgivers, while Anton argued for their innocence. The lawgivers, after questioning witnesses, released the party and arrested Gulfa and his henchmen, returning the stolen gold to Anton. The party then returned to their inn for a long rest. The following day, the King's Games commenced, with Anton participating in the Greasy Pole and Bergrom winning the Truther Bean competition. The party spent the day observing the games and discussing their future plans, considering potential chaos due to a change in leadership and further investigation with Lord Monder. The session concluded after the Battle of Champions events, with the Game Master hinting at a future level up and a significant plot development involving a potential regicide, and reflecting on the chaotic nature of the session.
