The second session of the Crown of the Oathbreaker began with the Game Master recapping the previous events, leading the party to consider Lord Monder's request to retrieve his prized horse, Miss Ivory, from Lord Rumlin's Royal Stud Farm. The journey took them through a desolate landscape to the farm, where they discovered the estate ablaze and panicked horses trapped within. Nora took the lead in rescuing the animals, and the party managed to save Miss Ivory and the other horses from the burning stables. Investigating the scene, they found a slain soldier and suspected more people were trapped inside. Anton broke down a door, and they rescued Jigging, the cook, who denied any involvement in the fire. The Game Master revealed through a World Builder entry that Countess Juniper Marital and a group of cultists had arrived at the estate before the fire started. Exploring the upper floor, the party encountered and subdued several thugs, and then descended into a cellar where they found a ritual in progress. Lord and Lady Rumlin were bound, their family members murdered, and a child was threatened with a sacrificial dagger. A chaotic combat ensued, with the party using spells and melee attacks to defeat the cultists and rescue the survivors. After looting the bodies and finding a hellish sacrificial dagger, which Quick took, they escorted Lady Rumlin, Lord Carolyn, and Jigging away from the ruined estate, along with Miss Ivory. During their return journey, Nora revealed her ability to transform into a spider, and that she had destroyed the cellar and the building with a fireball. Upon returning to the city, they informed Lord Monder of the events, and he thanked them for their efforts, paying them 177 gold pieces. The session concluded with the party having completed their task and uncovered a dangerous cult, with the Game Master teasing the upcoming King's Games. The players then discussed the chaotic nature of their party.
